Magical Wedding near Lucca in Tuscany

We hired Olive in Love for our wedding near Lucca in September 2024 and they were simply fantastic. We knew we had selected a good wedding planner early on when we emailed across a list of potential venues we had found online and before we even had our first chat together on Zoom they had already called each of the venues to check availability for our preferred dates.

We then flew out to Italy and had the pleasure of spending a couple of days with Pia & Michele driving around the Tuscan countryside looking at different venues. In the end we went with a completely different venue that was their recommendation because it was more beautiful and better value than any others we had found online. They were very welcoming & treated us to a delicious local lunch the first time we met, and they were a pleasure to get to know and spend time with from the very start.

They have a very approachable & relaxed way of working together, giving you enough time & space to make decisions, and giving helpful suggestions on what does or doesn’t work well, which we really valued. Their recommendations on venue, caterer, photographer, florist and hair/make-up etc were all five stars. 

The wedding itself was simply magical. They organised three days of events for us: a welcome event on Friday, wedding on Saturday and a BBQ/Pool Party on Sunday, including coaches & cars between all the venues. Everything went seamlessly and so many of our guests said it was the most beautiful and best organised wedding they had ever been to. We found them to be amazing value for money and they are clearly well respected in their profession as all of our contractors spoke very highly of them.

Olive in Love are a great husband & wife team and we found having both of them there to help us on the day was such a blessing as they can keep an eye on everything to make sure things are going to plan. 

It was especially nice that Pia translated our Italian civil ceremony into English for us and our guests – we found it really reassuring to have her involved in the ceremony itself as it made us feel more relaxed. We really can’t thank Pia & Michele enough for making our special day – and whole weekend – more magical than we ever could have hoped.

We highly, highly recommend Olive in Love.
