Project Description

Countryside Feast, April 2013

Nicola and Tom came into our lives same week as our son. Nicky being a midwife, it was safe enough to bring a 7 days old to the venue inspection tour:). Nicola and Tom wanted to celebrate their big day on a traditional Tuscan farm, have the ceremony in a local church and drive away as a married couple in a vintage Cinquecento. Another thing important for them was the guests comfort, they brought their grandparents along, and wanted things to be easy for them. The wedding venue, Tenuta di Sticciano, in the beautiful hills of Certaldo, half way between Siena and Florence, offers suitable spaces for groups. An easy venue both for elderly persons as well as families with small children. The young couple got everything they wanted, bathed in the wonderful April sunshine… The wedding celebrations began with a welcome dinner at the venue, where all the guests had arrived the day before the wedding. It was a true countryside feast under the open skies. Lots of candles, lanterns, good food and great company. The following day the wedding ceremony was celebrated in a picturesque 10th century church. The newlyweds had pictures taken in the spring fresh countryside around the venue, joining the guests for the aperitifs in the gardens. Wedding supper was set up in the main hall followed by dancing late into the night. Nicky & Tom’s wedding was an authentic and laid-back day in the Tuscan countryside.
